Environmentally Friendly Electric Die-casting Machine

The injection unit is equipped with our proprietary "THRV System," which enables high-speed injection acceleration.

Features

By adopting TOYO’s proprietary hydraulic technology, the THRV System, we have improved high-speed acceleration performance compared to conventional models.
The shorter filling time allows molten metal to fill the mold cavity before solidifying on the mold surface, effectively minimizing flow lines, as evidenced by the improved appearance of the cast products.

Effect: Reduction of defects in thin-wall sections

High-speed filling ensures that molten metal reaches thin-walled sections before solidification, preventing defects such as poor molten melt flow and flow lines.

High-speed acceleration performance

Effect: Dispersion and Refinement of Porosity

The molten metal passing through the gate becomes atomized by the rapid acceleration of injection, finely dispersing air bubbles that cause casting porosities and improving die-casting quality.

Reducing the filling time ensures that the molten metal fully fills the die before solidifying on its surface, thereby minimizing cold wrinkles.

Electric injection pressure intensification structure

In the hydraulic system, intensification is made by moving the pressure-applying piston using pressurized oil stored in an accumulator. In contrast, electric intensification system operates by moving the pressure-applying rod with a servomotor. Servo motor-driven control enables pressure compensation and multi-stage intensification.

Injection operation image and intensification performance

By reducing the weight of the electric drive unit and optimizing its control, intensification performance has been improved. This allows pressure to be applied before the molten metal solidifies, resulting in smaller porosity.

Advantage of multi-stage intensification injection

In hydraulic systems, the pressure intensification speed and maximum pressure remain fixed during the intensification process. In contrast, electric intensification enables flexible pressure adjustments based on the solidification status of the molten metal. This capability is especially effective for casting workpieces with complex shapes and varying thicknesses.

High stopping accuracy

Servomotor drive control provides higher stopping accuracy compared to hydraulic systems.

High cycle

The superior acceleration and deceleration control of servo motors minimizes shock while enabling faster die opening and closing.
Since the driving sources for die opening/closing, ejection, and the core are independent, parallel operations are possible, further reducing cycle time.

Load monitoring function

By monitoring the load with a servomotor, when the system detects abnormally high ejection resistance, it triggers an alarm to stop the machine, minimizing die damage.

Energy-Saving Benefits and CO2 Emission Reduction with Electric Drive

Thanks to its electric drive, the Ds-EX2 consumes less power compared to the hydraulic BD-V7EX, resulting in lower CO2 emissions. This significantly contributes to achieving carbon neutrality for our customers.

Hydraulic oil consumption reduced by electric drive

Since the Ds-EX2 uses hydraulic drive only for injection, it reduces hydraulic oil consumption compared to the hydraulic BD-V7EX. This reduction in hydraulic oil consumption contributes to environmental protection.

By adopting a vertical design for the intensification unit, we have achieved a more compact footprint compared to conventional electric and hydraulic systems.
In addition, by housing the control components within the frame, there is no need for a separate control panel, allowing for greater flexibility in factory layout and increased usable floor space.
